12 Cocktail Bar: Experience Intimate Speakeasy Vibes in Atlanta

This place has a very exclusive fill to it. You have the check in where you're greeted, they take you upstairs via the elevator and walk you in. The inside has a very nice vibe to it. Nice decor and good music. There are no drink menus, which I thought was really cool. They make a drink to your unique taste buds. I enjoyed being surprised by the different drinks they made. You just tell them what type of drinks/liquor you like and they will make something unique for you. The place isn't a huge place, more so intimate. There were only a few mixologist so service was not that fast. We did order food and it was soooo good. We had the chicken skewers and carrot humus. My husband and I enjoyed this place. We definitely will come back. I recommend this place especially if you are more on the adventurous side and don't mind them taking your taste buds to another level.

A Once-Memorable Spot That’s Lost Its Spark My wife and I first visited 12 Cocktail Bar back in 2023 when we were dating, and it quickly became one of our favorite memories from that season of life. The atmosphere was intimate and exclusive, the vibe was on point, and it felt like a hidden gem in the city—a perfect date night spot. Now, as a married couple, we returned hoping to relive some of that, but unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. The entrance no longer feels exclusive—you now share the lift with everyone headed to the rooftop at Ponce City Market, which takes away from the lounge’s once-private appeal. The ambiance has noticeably shifted: the playlist didn’t set any sort of mood, the lighting felt off, and there was only one food item on the menu. To be fair, our server was kind and attentive, and we appreciated the service. But overall, it seems like 12 Cocktail Bar is under new management or has simply lost its original vision. What used to feel special now feels like just another bar. It’s a shame, because it had the potential to be a timeless experience.

This was my first time visiting a speak easy. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it was different from what I was expecting (if that makes sense). Lol. It was definitely a chill, laid back vibe. It’s not an easy place to find which turns it into a little adventure. Just wear comfortable shoes when you go. I had an awesome time!

12 Cocktail Bar was a great place to start the trip in Atlanta. The bar is on the 12th floor at Ponce City Market and has exclusive speakeasy vibes. I’d recommend booking in advance. We ordered the PPP and Ginger Aloe Dream as well as Cheat Code and Last Word. I’d definitely come back and recommend you take your friends here. Everyone will be impressed with your selection.

Went on a Wednesday night with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. Our bartender Eric was excellent; he really took care of us with fantastic drinks and service. I like the chill vibe, and it's really nice to find a place where the music isn't too loud to easily converse. We all had a great time and are looking forward to going back.

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy some amazing drinks and relax, this is the right place to - beautiful bar with amazing city view and fantastic drinks. Our bartender Eric was very patient and knowledgeable, he gave us great drink recommendations and made excellent drinks. I’d recommend go with a reservation - it helps a bit to find your way to the bar. Definitely a strong recommend and will come back to try out more amazing drinks! Edit regarding modifying reservation: it only works through open table messaging (called them many times, was never picked up).
